DRIIV Foundation and Matrix Geo Solutions Formalise Collaboration on Advanced Geospatial Technologies
New Delhi, January 12, 2026: Matrix Geo Solutions Limited has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with DRIIV Foundation to collaborate on national and state level projects focused on advanced geospatial technologies. The agreement establishes a framework to translate scientific research into field deployable solutions aligned with India’s science and technology missions.
The collaboration covers a range of technology domains, including drone and UAV based surveys, LiDAR and three dimensional digital twin development, GeoAI driven spatial analytics, satellite data applications, and cloud native GIS platforms. The partnership also includes provisions for collaborative research and development, pilot deployments, and capacity building initiatives intended to support government programmes and public sector stakeholders.
Prof. Ambuj D. Sagar, Chief Executive Officer of DRIIV Foundation, said the collaboration supports the foundation’s mandate of moving research from laboratories into real world applications. He noted that Matrix Geo Solutions’ experience in geospatial engineering and drone based projects would enhance the foundation’s ability to deliver outcomes that address societal and environmental priorities.
As part of the agreement, Matrix Geo Solutions will focus on technology deployment, project execution, and operational delivery, while DRIIV Foundation will provide programme coordination and institutional linkage. The two organisations are currently identifying pilot initiatives that may be converted into defined project engagements.
