Chinmaya Mission Draws Public Attention Through a City Level Spiritual Programme
Chinmaya Mission organised a two day public spiritual programme in Hyderabad on 24 and 25 January at NTR Stadium, drawing large public participation across age groups and backgrounds. The event brought together spiritual leaders, public representatives, and citizens for collective chanting, exhibitions, and thematic presentations.
A central component of the programme was the collective chanting of the Bhagavad Gita, with particular focus on the fifteenth chapter, Purushottama Yoga, conducted on 25 January. Organisers said more than 14,000 participants took part in the chanting, including around 200 visually challenged children, highlighting the inclusive nature of the gathering.
The programme also featured exhibitions outlining Chinmaya Mission’s work in spiritual education, youth engagement, service initiatives, and cultural activities. A dedicated books pavilion and an immersive virtual reality presentation featuring teachings of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda were part of the public displays, offering visitors an overview of the organisation’s philosophical approach and outreach efforts.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said spiritual and cultural institutions continue to play a role in shaping social values and public discourse. He added that such public programmes provide space for reflection and balance amid changing social and economic conditions.
