Sahil Baweja, Founder of Pendulo, and Kamal Kohli, Head Mixologist, said the four course experience places cocktails at the centre, with chefs Megha Kohli and Noah Louis Barnes shaping each dish in response to the drinks.
Pendulo has introduced a cocktail led tasting experience in New Delhi, placing drinks at the centre of its dining format while aligning food courses around them.
The four course experience, titled Cocktail Sway, is structured as a progression where each cocktail leads the course and the accompanying dish is designed to complement and respond to it. The concept moves away from traditional pairing formats and instead positions cocktails as the primary element of the meal.
The experience draws from both Indian and Mexican culinary traditions, combining regional Indian ingredients with Mexican antojitos. The progression moves across flavour profiles including spice, smoke, acidity, and warmth, creating a sequence that evolves across the courses.
Sahil Baweja, Founder, Pendulo, said, “With Cocktail Sway, we wanted to challenge the traditional structure of a meal. Here, cocktails lead the experience. The food responds, contrasts, and elevates each pour. It is a format that reflects how people want to experience dining today.”
The cocktail programme is led by Kamal Kohli, Head Mixologist, with a focus on agave spirits combined with Indian flavour references. Signature creations include Litti Picante, Rasmalai Caliente, and Pahadi Mezcal Sour, each drawing from different regional influences and ingredient profiles.
The food menu has been developed by chefs Megha Kohli and Noah Louis Barnes, with dishes created specifically to align with the cocktails. The kitchen and bar operate in coordination to ensure that each course is served as part of a structured sequence.
Dishes featured in the experience include Lamb Dhokla, Pochury Pork Chaat, Gunpowder Mushroom Empanadas, and Coorgi Asado Octopus, reflecting the cross cultural approach of the menu.
The experience also incorporates live sitar music layered with Latin rhythms, reflecting the combination of Indian and Mexican influences across both food and atmosphere.
Pendulo said the format is designed to offer flexibility, allowing guests to make choices within each course and shape their own experience while maintaining the overall structure of the tasting journey.
Located in Mehrauli, Pendulo continues to focus on concept driven dining formats that combine culinary technique with narrative and experience design.
Rohan Khaunte, Minister for ITE and C, Government of Goa, and Sajan Pillai, Chairman, McLaren Strategic Solutions, highlight local opportunities, global exposure, and industry collaboration
Panaji, April 2026: McLaren Strategic Solutions has expanded its hiring efforts in Goa, onboarding 20 final year engineering students from leading technical institutes into its global workforce.
The selection was formalised during an interaction session attended by Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Government of Goa, along with company leadership and industry representatives.
The initiative reflects a broader effort to create employment opportunities within the state, enabling students to access global career pathways without relocating.
Rohan Khaunte said the focus is on building an ecosystem where local talent can grow within Goa, reducing the need for migration while strengthening the state’s technology landscape.
Sajan Pillai, Chairman, McLaren Strategic Solutions, said Goa offers a combination of skilled talent, strong communication abilities, and a supportive environment, making it an attractive location for building teams.
The recruitment process began earlier this year, with candidates selected based on technical capability and practical experience, including participation in hackathons and project based learning.
The company increased its intake from 15 hires last year to 20 this year, selecting students from institutions such as Goa College of Engineering, Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, and Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology.
The selected candidates are expected to begin their roles in August 2026.
The initiative highlights growing collaboration between industry, academia, and government to build a sustainable technology ecosystem in Goa, positioning the state as a destination for skilled talent and innovation.
Prof Sukumar Mishra, Director of IIT ISM Dhanbad, and Parthasarathi Das, Dean R and D and Convenor of IInvenTiv 2026, said the platform brings together over 150 shortlisted innovations, startups, and investors across five key sectors.
IIT ISM Dhanbad will host the fourth edition of IInvenTiv 2026, a national research and development platform aimed at connecting academic innovation with industry and investment ecosystems.
The two day event, scheduled for April 6 and 7 at the IIT ISM Dhanbad campus, is being jointly organised with IIT Kharagpur, IIT BHU, IIT Bhubaneswar, and IIT Patna. The platform brings together academic institutions, startups, venture capitalists, and industry leaders to present emerging technologies and explore pathways for commercialisation.
More than 235 innovation submissions have been received from 37 institutions across India, with around 151 innovations and startups shortlisted for live demonstrations. In addition, 46 startups incubated across the organising IITs and Technology Innovation Hubs will also be showcased.
The event will feature five thematic areas including healthcare, artificial intelligence and machine learning, materials science, earth sciences, and semiconductor and chip technology, reflecting key sectors driving research and development in India.
IInvenTiv was launched in 2022 at IIT Delhi as part of national celebrations and has since expanded to include leading institutions such as IISc, IISERs, NITs, IIMs, and other top ranked institutes, evolving into a broader national platform for innovation exchange.
Prof Sukumar Mishra, Director, IIT ISM Dhanbad, said, “Hosting IInvenTiv 2026 is a proud moment for IIT ISM Dhanbad. The platform reflects the growing strength of India’s research and innovation ecosystem and provides an opportunity for institutions to showcase technologies that can address real world challenges.”
Parthasarathi Das, Dean R and D and Convenor of IInvenTiv 2026, said, “IInvenTiv serves as an interface between academia, industry, and investors. By bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders, the event aims to accelerate the journey of research from laboratories to market ready technologies.”
Ejaz Ahmad, PIC SRIC and Organising Secretary of IInvenTiv 2026, said the event will include technology demonstration zones, startup pitching sessions, structured investor interactions, and opportunities for funding discussions across sectors such as AI, healthcare, semiconductors, and materials science.
The event is expected to attract more than 1000 delegates including researchers, students, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, MSMEs, and industry leaders. Several MoUs are also expected to be signed, along with possible on the spot funding commitments from investors and industry partners.
The inaugural session is expected to be attended by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, as Chief Guest, along with Ajay Kela, Chief Executive Officer of the Wadhwani Foundation as Guest of Honour.
