Woxsen University Joins Hands with Telangana for Arrive Alive Road Safety Initiative
Woxsen University has partnered with the Government of Telangana to host the Arrive Alive road safety awareness programme, bringing together more than 500 students, senior police officials, and academic leaders to address concerns around road safety and responsible behaviour.
Shri Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, IPS, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order, Telangana, said, “Arrive Alive is a focused prevention driven initiative, and we are already witnessing measurable impact in reducing road fatalities across Telangana. The focus is on building everyday discipline, ensuring helmet use for both riders and pillion passengers, consistent seat belt usage, and eliminating distractions and fatigue while driving. Strengthening golden hour response through awareness of life saving techniques like CPR can improve survival outcomes.”
The programme included a road safety pledge, presentation of a student conducted study on road usage patterns, and cultural performances designed to communicate safety messages in an engaging format. It also addressed broader concerns related to road behaviour and the need for sustained awareness.
