  • Fraud Disputes Get Visual Fix as Unicommerce Launches UniCapture for E-commerce Sellers

Unicommerce’s new solution captures short, timestamped videos at packing and return points, giving over 3,000 e-commerce sellers daily dispute-ready evidence and reducing friction in a market where return fraud is estimated to affect 15-20% of orders.

Unicommerce, a leading e-commerce enablement SaaS platform, has launched UniCapture, a video-based verification solution (VMS) designed to bring greater transparency to order fulfilment and returns. The tool allows sellers to automatically record short, timestamped videos during the packing and return inspection process, linking each video to its respective transaction or order ID.

E-commerce sellers often struggle to handle claims linked to unverifiable returns, especially when buyers send back incorrect, damaged, or counterfeit items. These disputes create significant revenue loss and slow down operations for marketplaces, sellers and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands. UniCapture aims to streamline this process by offering visual, time-stamped evidence that is accepted across leading e-commerce platforms.

The tool operates in the background of warehouse operations. Each video captures the physical state of a product before it is dispatched and again when it is returned, ensuring that every shipment has an audit trail. Sellers can now use this visual data to support or contest claims, reducing friction and shortening dispute resolution timelines.
UniCapture offers a new level of transparency in order fulfilment, enabling brands to build stronger customer trust,” said Kapil Makhija, Managing Director and CEO of Unicommerce. Brands are already seeing benefits such as faster claim resolution and stronger marketplace credibility. We are committed to supporting them in delivering better customer experiences while driving operational excellence.

The rollout of UniCapture reflects a broader industry trend toward digitising warehouse operations and embedding accountability tools directly into everyday workflows. As the scale of India’s e-commerce sector grows, particularly in high-return categories such as fashion, electronics, and beauty, sellers are seeking ways to reduce order-related revenue leakage without adding friction to the customer journey.

  • Global Spotlight on Educate Girls as Magsaysay Honour Recognises 30,000-Village Education Model

Over 20 lakh girls enrolled across 30,000 villages in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, as Educate Girls aligns with RTE, NEP and ULLAS to earn Asia’s top public service award.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award, Asia’s most prestigious public service recognition, has honoured Safeena Husain and her organisation Educate Girls for their transformative work in enrolling out-of-school girls in some of India’s most marginalised and educationally underserved regions.
Educate Girls has worked across more than 30,000 villages in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, mobilising over 20 lakh girls for school enrolment since 2007. The organisation’s model is deeply aligned with India’s Right to Education Act, the Samagra Shiksha programme, the National Education Policy and ULLAS, the government’s flagship volunteer-driven education initiative.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award recognises outstanding contributions in areas of public service, social justice, and community leadership across Asia. The award is conferred after a rigorous nomination and review process that evaluates tangible and sustained impact in public welfare.
Educate Girls’ work is built on a community-led, door-to-door approach that identifies out-of-school girls, engages with families, and supports the return and retention of girls in schools. Its work has received wide support from state governments, district authorities and thousands of local champions and volunteers.

Safeena Husain’s leadership has steered Educate Girls into becoming one of India’s most impactful educational movements, with a data-driven model that addresses both access and learning outcomes. The organisation has also been recognised for its scalable model, use of gender parity indices, and results-based funding frameworks.
Educate Girls has repeatedly demonstrated that large-scale enrolment and retention can be achieved in remote, patriarchal and socio-economically challenged regions by building trust and accountability at the grassroots. Its model uses local community-based volunteers called Team Balika, who work closely with schools, families and local authorities to bring lasting change.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation noted that Safeena Husain and Educate Girls exemplify the transformative power of inclusive education and grassroots mobilisation. They described her work as a powerful example of how public participation, government collaboration, and unwavering commitment can redefine access to education.
The award ceremony will be held in Manila, the Philippines, on November 11, 2025, bringing international visibility to India’s community-driven education innovations.

  • Recycle Responsibly: Casio India and Change Is Us Clear 1,250 Kgs of Waste at Girgaum Chowpatty

With over 200 volunteers participating in the mega beach clean-up drive, Casio India, Allied Waste Solutions, SHEOWS, and Change Is Us spotlight corporate-community action for environmental awareness and sustainable waste management in Mumbai.

In a focused move to drive citizen-led sustainability, Casio India Co. Pvt. Ltd. joined hands with leading non-profits and environmental organisations to conduct a large-scale beach clean-up at Girgaum Chowpatty. Organised under the ‘Recycle Responsibly’ initiative, the event brought together more than 200 volunteers and led to the collection of over 1,250 kilograms of plastic and non-biodegradable waste.
The event was held in partnership with SHEOWS, Allied Waste Solutions, Onika Social Welfare Foundation, and Change Is Us. The collective aim was to reinforce the importance of recycling, proper waste segregation, and the urgency of restoring coastal ecosystems. Volunteers from Casio India, along with teams from Allied Waste Solutions and Change Is Us, joined hands to sweep clean a large portion of one of Mumbai’s busiest beachfronts.

Casio India’s involvement highlights its broader environmental commitment, rooted in corporate social responsibility and global sustainability goals. The ‘Recycle Responsibly’ initiative, part of this larger vision, calls on citizens and institutions alike to rethink their waste disposal habits and adopt practical, long-term practices that support ecological restoration.
Speaking on the effort, Akira Watanabe, Director at Casio India, expressed that sustainability is a principle the company takes seriously, not just in its products, but in its social actions. The beach clean-up was a reminder that tangible environmental impact begins with small but consistent actions. His emphasis was on community collaboration as a pathway to transformation.

Legal Head at Casio India, Gurmeet Singh, reiterated that Mumbai’s beaches are not just public spaces but living ecosystems. The beach clean-up was more than an event , it was a demonstration of environmental accountability. His statement pointed to the long-term cultural change that Casio India hopes to spark, where every citizen plays a part in reducing waste and protecting biodiversity.
Representing Allied Waste Solutions, Director and Co-founder Nitesh Tiwari said that initiatives such as these build on the belief that environmental responsibility must be a collective effort. Partnering with Casio India, according to him, was an opportunity to move from conversation to on-ground action.

From Change Is Us, Co-Founder Shubbh Mehta said that the campaign stands for more than just one clean-up. It is designed to push behavioural change and remind urban residents that environmental stewardship is a daily responsibility. The event at Girgaum was an opportunity to engage directly with people and inspire a change in mindset.
The drive also saw participation from student volunteers, local residents, and representatives from other civic networks, making it not just a clean-up but a micro-movement. The collected waste was sorted and handed over to authorised recyclers, ensuring that disposal was managed sustainably.

Casio India intends to continue with similar efforts across other parts of the country under the ‘Recycle Responsibly’ banner, encouraging civic and institutional partnerships that enable cleaner public spaces and healthier ecosystems. With a focus on waste awareness, recycling education, and active clean-up missions, the initiative aims to become a replicable model for urban sustainability.
Casio’s legacy of innovation includes not only its products but also its community-led CSR philosophy. The company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability has seen it take up projects across education and environment, bringing both technology and purpose into everyday lives. Through this latest initiative, Casio India hopes to amplify awareness and inspire wider adoption of responsible recycling practices.
The clean-up at Girgaum Chowpatty may be over, but the campaign’s message continues , cleaner coasts begin with community action, and responsible consumption must become second nature to India’s urban citizens.

  • A Slow Build and a Steady Pour as Paladin Wines Charts Its Southward Course

After quietly building presence in Maharashtra with up to 60,000 bottles sold annually, Paladin Wines expands into Goa and Karnataka, guided by demand for certified vegan varietals and steady year-round interest in its vermouth (a fortified wine infused with herbs and botanicals) range

Paladin Wines, the Italian label introduced to India under Morgan Beverages, is entering a new chapter as it steps beyond its initial stronghold in Maharashtra into the southern states of Goa and Karnataka. This move, described by the company as a carefully timed expansion, comes after seven years of slow but deliberate market cultivation that now sees the brand move between 45,000 to 60,000 bottles annually.
The brand’s founder, Rohan Nihalani, who is also co-founder of Cartel Bros. and the entrepreneur behind boutique whisky labels like The Glenwalk and The Glenjourneys, has consistently positioned Paladin as a quiet disruptor in India’s evolving wine story. Its portfolio, anchored by the Draggo Rosso Merlot and rounded out by Prosecco Rosé, Syrah, Pinot Grigio, Amarone, and Dry Prosecco, appeals to a generation of Indian drinkers shifting away from mass-market labels and toward thoughtfully curated imports.

India’s wine culture is maturing steadily,” Nihalani notes. “We’ve focused on introducing wines that carry authenticity and depth. With Goa and Karnataka now on our map, we’re bringing these wines to new shelves and new palates.
The expansion also rides on Paladin’s lesser-known but rising star: its vermouth range. Though once a niche category, vermouth has found traction among urban Indian consumers, especially those seeking botanical-forward profiles for sipping and mixology. From just 1,500 bottles imported last year, the company has already crossed 5,000 in off-season distribution, a sharp signal of market responsiveness even outside the peak festive window.

One key factor in Paladin’s growing acceptance lies in its certification as a vegan wine brand, still rare in the Indian market. As plant-based lifestyles become more widespread, vegan certification has become a quiet differentiator, particularly in urban Tier 1 markets. Modern consumers read labels,” says Nihalani. “They want transparency, quality, and purpose in what they consume.
Priced from ₹2,499 plus taxes, the brand balances accessibility with aspirational value. Its products cater to consumers who may be discovering European wines for the first time but seek quality beyond entry-level choices. Paladin’s wines are available in boutique wine shops and curated retail environments, and the company avoids mass-market positioning, choosing instead a slow-burn distribution model that emphasizes consistent supply.

The rollout in Goa and Karnataka began in October 2025 with selective listings, and broader availability is expected in the early months of 2026. Morgan Beverages aims for 30 percent volume growth across its wine portfolio by the end of next fiscal year and targets 20 percent market share within the premium wine segment over the next two years. The roadmap also includes deeper penetration into metro cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, where imported wine consumption continues to rise steadily.
Founded in 2017, Morgan Beverages now manages a multi-category portfolio that spans whisky, gin, vodka, beers, wines, and vermouth. All labels are personally sourced, sampled, and approved by Nihalani, reflecting a curation-first approach to the alco-bev space. This attention to provenance, coupled with a focus on education and shelf strategy, has helped Paladin retain its identity as a heritage label with a modern sensibility.

Morgan Beverages, established by Rohan Nihalani in 2017, is recognized for importing and distributing premium international spirits and wines across India. The company manages exclusive rights to several boutique European labels and plays a defining role in shaping India’s evolving wine palate.
Paladin Wines, rooted in the Veneto and Friuli regions of Italy, is curated in India by Morgan Beverages. Its current selection includes certified vegan varietals, best-selling reds, and dry Proseccos, now retailed in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, and Karnataka.

  • Cancer Screening Takes Center Stage as Vidya Balan Leads Sanjeevani’s National Call to Act Early

Over 70 percent of cancer cases in India are detected at late stages, and Sanjeevani’s new campaign with Vidya Balan warns that even the healthiest are at risk, urging every Indian to make routine cancer screening a priority before symptoms appear.

The third edition of Sanjeevani: United Against Cancer, a collaborative initiative by Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation, News18 Network, and knowledge partner Tata Trusts, was launched today with a powerful message: early detection saves lives, and cancer screening must become a priority for every individual, regardless of their perceived health or fitness.
At the center of this movement stands actor Vidya Balan, lending her voice to two impactful new films that challenge the widely held belief that a healthy lifestyle can prevent all illness. The films underscore that cancer is often silent and does not discriminate based on age, diet, or physical activity. Vidya’s performances highlight that the only true protection is regular screening, done before symptoms appear.

The first film portrays seemingly healthy individuals people who are physically active, follow strict diets, and live disciplined lives yet still face the risk of undetected illness. Vidya emphasizes that fitness is no substitute for screening and delivers a poignant reminder that taking action early is the real key to survival. Her message is clear: screening is not about fear, but about proactive care and hope.
In the second film, Vidya draws a comparison between filmmaking and life. She reflects on how actors rehearse scenes to perfection, yet there is no second take in life when it comes to missed screenings. The film drives home the point that early detection provides time to respond, seek treatment, and preserve life. Waiting for symptoms to appear may be too late.

Sanjeevani aims to shift national perceptions about cancer. The campaign reinforces four key principles:
Early detection saves lives: Many cancers develop without noticeable symptoms. Detecting them early allows for simpler, more effective treatment options, and significantly improves survival rates.
Fitness is not immunity: While physical fitness contributes to general wellbeing, it does not eliminate the need for cancer screenings. Cancer can affect anyone, regardless of how healthy they appear.
Facing fear with action: People often delay screenings due to fear of diagnosis. Sanjeevani reframes the narrative, encouraging screenings as empowering and life-affirming, rather than frightening.

Open conversation breaks stigma: Families and communities must speak openly about screening and testing. The more these conversations happen, the more screening becomes a normalized part of self-care.
Speaking on the campaign, M V S Murthy, Chief Marketing Officer of Federal Bank, said, “At Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation, we treat health as an investment in the nation’s future. Sanjeevani has already reached thousands across India, and this year we are expanding our reach. Screening should be a right, not a privilege. Vidya Balan’s voice brings urgency and empathy to this cause.”
Siddharth Saini, COO of News18 Studios, added, “Sanjeevani is not just about awareness. It is about action. These films, backed by data and supported by real partnerships, move people from knowledge to behavior change. With Vidya Balan onboard, we have cultural credibility and emotional reach.”

Surojit Sen, Co-Founder and CEO of Huddlers Innovation Private Limited, explained the insight behind the campaign. “Through research and personal conversations, we identified that fitness enthusiasts often believe they are immune to cancer risk. The gym setting in our film was chosen to directly challenge this misconception. Our goal is to make screening a universally accepted part of fitness routines.”
The urgency is real. In India, over 70 percent of cancers are detected in late stages, making treatment more difficult, expensive, and often ineffective. By placing the spotlight on early detection, Sanjeevani seeks to change outcomes and save lives.
The films, conceptualized by Huddlers Innovation Private Limited, focus on action and empowerment rather than fear. They highlight dignity, self-respect, and the ability to choose timely care. Vidya Balan’s involvement reinforces a deeply human approach that respects viewers’ concerns while promoting responsibility.
Audiences can watch these films on Sanjeevani’s digital platforms, News18’s broadcast channels, and on select streaming services starting today. Every share, every conversation, and every completed screening brings India closer to a healthier, more prepared future.

  • From low-cost pioneer to multi-sector disruptor, Capital A to build Bahrain into a gateway for aviation, logistics and engineering across three continents

With 25 daily flights planned by 2030, Capital A’s Bahrain expansion includes a new airline base, full-service MRO facility, dedicated cargo fleet and over 1,000 jobs in the first year

Capital A Berhad, the parent company of AirAsia, has signed a Letter of Intent with Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications. The agreement marks a significant step toward establishing Bahrain as a long-term operations base that will connect Southeast Asia to the Middle East, Europe and Africa through a fully integrated ecosystem spanning airline services, cargo logistics, aircraft engineering and workforce development.
The plan includes launching new flights from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines into Bahrain. Over time, this will scale into more than 25 daily connections linking ASEAN markets with regional and intercontinental destinations. The group expects to serve over 20 million passengers through the Bahrain hub by 2030, as it expands routes into fast-growing secondary cities that are often overlooked by traditional global airlines.

In addition to route development, the partnership represents a shift in how Capital A is structuring its long-term aviation strategy. Instead of functioning only as a low-cost carrier group, the company is now building physical infrastructure to support every layer of the aviation economy. This includes maintenance hangars, training programs, cargo networks and digital logistics systems that enable real-time coordination across markets.
Asia Digital Engineering, the group’s Maintenance Repair and Overhaul division, will lead the development of a next-generation engineering facility in Bahrain. This site will feature high-capacity aircraft hangars, advanced tooling systems and a regional training centre to develop local expertise across Airbus and Boeing fleets. Once operational, it will support both narrowbody and widebody aircraft, allowing for faster aircraft turnaround times and enhanced service coverage across the Gulf.

Teleport, the company’s logistics business, will establish Bahrain as its first dedicated cargo hub outside Asia. A fleet of freighters will be stationed in the Kingdom to expand air logistics operations into Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. This strategic location allows for faster shipping, reduced transit times and greater cargo volumes for cross-border e-commerce and high-value trade. For businesses seeking seamless fulfillment across continents, Bahrain becomes the bridge.
More than 1,000 Bahraini citizens are expected to be trained and hired in the first year of operations. Capital A is building a local talent pipeline that includes pilot certification, engineering apprenticeships, flight crew readiness and airport services. Bahraini professionals will be given opportunities to gain technical qualifications and international experience, helping the country move closer to its Economic Vision 2030 workforce goals.

Tony Fernandes, Chief Executive Officer of Capital A, described the Bahrain alliance as a model for the future of aviation. He emphasized that this is not just a route launch or infrastructure investment, but a strategic design that integrates flight connectivity with ground capability. He stated that AirAsia was built on the idea of access, and that this new chapter expands that mission by building physical access to jobs, cargo corridors and aerospace expertise across continents.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, stated that the agreement supports Bahrain’s vision to become a multi-sector logistics and travel leader. He noted that Capital A’s multi-dimensional approach aligns with the Kingdom’s strategy to strengthen its global position as a connector between East and West while creating high-skill employment pathways for its citizens.

AirAsia may also establish a Bahrain-based Air Operator Certificate which would allow the group to base and operate aircraft directly from the country. This would eliminate the need for backhaul routing through Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, streamline operations and enhance frequency into underserved markets across Central Asia, Africa and Europe.
The economic impact of the partnership is projected to exceed eight billion US dollars by 2030. Capital A will not only bring new passenger volumes into the region, but also create a framework for regional aviation development that includes engineering excellence, digitally enabled logistics, and reliable flight operations. Bahrain is being positioned as a high-efficiency node within a wider air corridor that extends across three continents.

This initiative coincides with Capital A’s broader transformation. The group has completed the restructuring of its aviation entities and is now building a comprehensive travel and infrastructure ecosystem. That includes AirAsia’s airline operations, Asia Digital Engineering’s service infrastructure and Teleport’s cargo fulfillment network. Together, these businesses will be aligned under a multi-hub model that enables real-time service, shared systems and regionally tailored operations.
Bahrain is not a symbolic launch site. It is the first test case of how Capital A plans to decentralize airline management, develop regional talent, and operate at the intersection of commercial aviation and high-performance infrastructure. From passenger travel to freight to hangar capacity, Bahrain will become a blueprint for next-generation aviation strategy.
This is not simply about flying from one point to another. It is about building the infrastructure that allows new regions to participate in the global economy. For Bahrain, it means becoming a gateway that links the movement of people, goods and skills. For Capital A, it means reshaping what airline growth looks like beyond aircraft orders and route maps.

  • Jemimah Rodrigues finds her edge under WPL pressure, Reema Malhotra explains shift in mindset

Former India cricketer Reema Malhotra believes Jemimah Rodrigues’ match-winning World Cup performance and Smriti Mandhana’s leadership gains are direct outcomes of playing under competitive WPL systems

The evolution of India’s women cricketers has rarely been as visible as it was during the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup. At the heart of that transformation was Jemimah Rodrigues
whose unbeaten 127-run knock in the semifinal against Australia helped India chase the highest-ever target in a Women’s World Cup knockout match. It reflected a clear mental shift influenced by the high standards and pressure of franchise cricket.
According to former India all-rounder and current television analyst Reema Malhotra
the Women’s Premier League (WPL) has been a major factor in shaping how Indian players prepare, adapt, and compete. “Look at Jemimah,” she said during her appearance on The Great Indian Cricket Show on Doordarshan. “Because of the WPL, she has grown out of her comfort zone. She knows that to stay in the playing eleven of someone like Meg Lanning, she has to be consistently inventive.”

Rodrigues, long considered a technically sound player, had previously relied heavily on orthodox strokes. Her recent performances under pressure, however, tell a different story. Her footwork is more confident, her backfoot game more aggressive, and she has taken ownership of middle-overs play with increased intent. These are the qualities now emerging among Indian women who have played in structured leagues like the WPL.
Reema Malhotra, who represented India from 2003 to 2013, believes that this evolution is directly linked to the environment created within WPL teams. It’s not just a platform to showcase talent, she said. It’s a platform to grow. Players are learning to read the game better, respond to opposition tactics, and hold their place in a highly competitive squad.

Rodrigues contributed significantly throughout the 2025 World Cup, scoring 311 runs across eight innings at an average of over 51. Her calm under pressure, especially in the semifinal, stood out as a defining moment in India’s campaign.
Smriti Mandhana’s tournament was equally impactful. She scored 434 runs in nine innings, including a century and two half-centuries, ending with an average of 54.25. Her performance anchored India’s batting and brought stability at the top of the order.

However, Reema Malhotra pointed out that Smriti’s most important progress may have come off the field. In the first WPL season, she returned from the Big Bash League and led her team without knowing much about the domestic pool, Malhotra explained. But in the second season, she decided to skip the Big Bash and played domestic cricket instead. That helped her identify talent and build a team that went on to win the WPL title.
This adjustment in priorities reflects a broader trend. Top Indian players are now balancing domestic formats, franchise leagues, and international commitments with greater professionalism. They are more aware of the rhythm required to perform consistently throughout the year.

According to Malhotra, the WPL has brought a new kind of pressure that prepares players for global tournaments. “Players are now training alongside international names and under the guidance of top coaches. It changes how they think about their game. The focus is no longer just on making the team, but on creating a match-winning impact.”
The WPL’s reach has also expanded significantly. Players like Rodrigues, Mandhana, Shafali Verma, and Richa Ghosh are now public figures. Their performances are tracked, discussed, and celebrated in real-time. That kind of visibility pushes them to refine their games faster.

Rodrigues’ innings in the semifinal became one of the most discussed performances on social media. Her ability to handle pressure and play with smart aggression was widely praised by fans, former players, and analysts. For many, it was the moment that defined her transition from promising to pivotal.
This is not Jemimah 2.0,” Malhotra said. This is Jemimah who has faced elite bowlers in the WPL, played under captains like Meg Lanning, and knows how to finish a game with responsibility. That kind of maturity only comes when you’re tested at the highest levels.
The Great Indian Cricket Show continues to explore these behind-the-scenes journeys. Airing every weekend at 8 PM IST on Doordarshan, it brings expert voices like Reema Malhotra’s into national conversations about Indian cricket’s evolution.

  • SOUKYA Acquires Six Acres in Bengaluru to Build 100-Bed AYUSH Hospital with ₹125 Crore Investment

Led by Dr Isaac Mathai, SOUKYA will develop a 100-bed integrative healthcare centre in Bengaluru, backed by a ₹125 crore investment, expanding its reach beyond luxury wellness to affordable AYUSH medicine.

SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre, globally recognized for its holistic medical care and wellness therapies, has announced the acquisition of six acres of land in Hoskote, near its existing campus in Bengaluru. The project marks a new phase in the institution’s journey with the establishment of a 100-bed AYUSH hospital focused on making integrative healthcare accessible and affordable for a wider community.
The total project investment stands at ₹125 crore, comprising ₹50 crore for land acquisition and ₹75 crore for construction and development. The upcoming facility will provide comprehensive integrative care that combines modern Allopathy with traditional Indian systems including Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani, and Yoga, creating a single platform for evidence-based, patient-centred healing.

SOUKYA has earned global distinction for its commitment to combining modern diagnostics with time-tested natural therapies. Founded by Dr Isaac Mathai and Dr Suja Isaac, the centre has served patients from more than 100 countries and has been trusted by global leaders, industrialists, and celebrities. The Hoskote expansion builds on this legacy, extending SOUKYA’s reach beyond ultra-premium wellness experiences to accessible AYUSH medicine designed for long-term health management.
The announcement comes at a time when India’s AYUSH ecosystem is seeing record growth. The Ministry of AYUSH’s budget for FY26 has risen by 14.2 percent to ₹3,992.9 crore (US$ 461.3 million). The Indian AYUSH market, valued at US$ 43.3 billion in 2024, is projected to reach US$ 200 billion by 2030. Parallelly, India’s wellness tourism sector is estimated to grow from ₹1.64 lakh crore to ₹2.57 lakh crore by 2031, reflecting both rising domestic demand and international interest in holistic and preventive medicine.

Speaking about the development, Dr Isaac Mathai, Founder of SOUKYA, said that the institution’s philosophy has always been to combine the highest standards of medical science with India’s deep-rooted wellness traditions. “SOUKYA has always been envisioned as a sanctuary where global standards of holistic healthcare meet India’s finest traditions of natural medicine. As we move forward, our growth will take two parallel paths. One will focus on the expansion of SOUKYA’s global footprint for high-net-worth patients, beginning with our first international centre in Portugal. The second path begins with this new initiative in Hoskote, designed to make authentic integrative medicine affordable and accessible. With strong public trust, policy support, and India’s growing role in global wellness, this is the right time to extend holistic healthcare to more people,” he said.

Construction of the new hospital is expected to begin within six to nine months. The project will be completed in two phases. Phase I will deliver 50 beds and essential specialisations, while Phase II will expand capacity to the full 100 beds and broaden the range of disciplines. The facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of FY27.
The new hospital will provide integrated treatments for chronic, rare, and lifestyle-related conditions, including cancer rehabilitation, respiratory and metabolic disorders, reproductive health, neurological and musculoskeletal diseases, and addiction recovery. Each treatment plan will draw from both modern medicine and traditional systems, allowing multidisciplinary teams to tailor therapies to patient needs.

In addition to medical services, the new hospital will reflect SOUKYA’s holistic philosophy in its design and daily operation. Plans include an organic food program, a one-kilometre walking track, an organic farm promoting farm-to-table nutrition, and advanced rainwater harvesting systems. Importantly, the hospital will also offer comprehensive insurance coverage across all treatments, an important step in integrating AYUSH with mainstream healthcare access.
Dr Mathai added that the company sees significant expansion potential in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kerala, which are among India’s most active AYUSH markets. “Following the Bengaluru project, our next phase of growth will focus on developing similar hospitals through management and operational models in key cities. We are already in discussions with partners who share our vision of authentic, accessible, and evidence-based holistic care,” he said.

The Hoskote facility also aligns with India’s broader healthcare policy direction, which encourages integrative medicine and patient-centred approaches. The initiative reinforces India’s position as a global hub for holistic medicine, where ancient systems of health are validated through scientific evidence and delivered through modern infrastructure.
Founded more than two decades ago, SOUKYA operates on a 30-acre organic campus on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The institution is India’s first NABH-accredited AYUSH hospital for Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Yoga, and Naturopathy, combining over 30 complementary therapies such as Reflexology, Acupuncture, and Dietetics under one roof. Its name, derived from the Sanskrit word “Soukhyam,” means a harmonious state of mind, body, and spirit a principle that continues to guide every expansion.
Having treated over 10,000 patients from across 100 countries, SOUKYA represents India’s holistic healthcare leadership at the global level. With the Hoskote hospital, it now begins a new chapter of making integrative medicine accessible to more families, reaffirming that healthcare built on balance, compassion, and scientific validation can serve every segment of society.
