ELGi Equipments, one of India’s leading air compressor manufacturers, has introduced its new DemandMatch System, designed to significantly enhance energy efficiency in compressed air operations across Indian manufacturing.
The DemandMatch System represents a strategic innovation for facilities that rely on fixed-speed air compressors, enabling them to respond intelligently to fluctuating air demands. By dynamically switching compressors on or off based on real-time requirements, the system can achieve energy savings of up to 17% , without the need for expensive variable-speed drives (VFDs).

It allows manufacturers to optimize energy usage while continuing to rely on their existing fixed-speed compressor infrastructure. The result is a smarter, leaner compressed air setup that doesn’t compromise on performance.
The new system integrates with multiple compressors, continuously monitoring plant demand and orchestrating the compressor lineup to match load requirements. This reduces both energy consumption and mechanical wear, thereby contributing to a longer equipment lifecycle.

With this launch, ELGi aims to address one of the most persistent challenges in Indian manufacturing energy inefficiency in compressed air systems, which can account for a significant share of industrial power bills.
The DemandMatch System is now available to Indian customers across industry segments, with ELGi planning to extend availability to other global markets in future phases.
