The British Council has recognised Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar, for successfully completing the Recognition of International Dimension in Schools (RIDS) Programme, an initiative that embeds global learning into everyday education.
At the award presentation, Mr. Duncan Wilson, representing the British Council, commended the school for its sustained commitment to integrating international collaboration into its curriculum. He noted that the RIDS framework allows Indian schools to benchmark their teaching practices against global standards while fostering creativity, teamwork, and cultural understanding.

Senior Principal Kanchan Ukey accepted the award on behalf of the school and described how the programme had reshaped learning experiences. She pointed out that cross-cultural projects, exchange opportunities, and collaborative assignments encouraged students to think critically about global issues and develop empathy for diverse perspectives.

Students from Centre Point School took part in a wide range of international learning projects, working with partner schools abroad to explore themes such as climate change, cultural heritage, and sustainable development. Teachers also reported that the RIDS methodology allowed them to design lessons that connected local realities with global debates, enhancing both engagement and understanding.
The recognition places Centre Point School among a select group of Indian institutions that have achieved the RIDS milestone, reinforcing its position as a leader in holistic and globally aware education in Nagpur.
