  • School level reading takes national focus through Food 4 Thought Foundation and Cyient Foundation

Cyient DLM Managing Director Rajendra Velagapudi and Food 4 Thought Foundation co founder Shefali Rao discuss building reading cultures

School level reading and comprehension took national focus with the hosting of the India Reading Decathlon National Finale, organised by Food 4 Thought Foundation in collaboration with Cyient Foundation, along with Monocept Consulting. The finale was held at Cyient’s Manikonda campus in Hyderabad, bringing together students, educators, and literacy advocates from across the country.
The national finale marked the culmination of a four month competition that saw participation from 69 schools nationwide. Following multiple rounds, the top 11 teams qualified to compete at the final stage. The Reading Decathlon is an international school level quiz format designed to encourage deep reading, comprehension, critical thinking, and sustained literary engagement among children.

The programme is anchored in the belief that reading habits require structured encouragement, particularly among urban students who may have access to books but limited engagement with reading beyond academic requirements. Through a competitive yet learning driven format, the Reading Decathlon seeks to place reading back at the centre of intellectual development.
Speaking at the event, Rajendra Velagapudi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cyient DLM, said that education and literacy form the foundation of long term societal progress. He noted that Cyient Foundation’s involvement in the Reading Decathlon aligns with its focus on sustainable education initiatives that aim to create lasting impact rather than short term interventions.

Shefali Rao, Co Founder of Food 4 Thought Foundation, said that the Reading Decathlon was conceived as a way to ignite interest in reading among urban children and youth. She added that collaborations between organisations working in education and literacy are essential to building consistent reading cultures that go beyond classrooms and examinations.
Food 4 Thought Foundation works with schools to promote reading as a habit rather than a task, using formats that reward curiosity, analysis, and discussion. The partnership with Cyient Foundation reflects a shared approach toward literacy that emphasises continuity, access, and engagement over scale alone.

By bringing together schools from different regions, the India Reading Decathlon National Finale underscored the role of reading based programmes in strengthening comprehension and critical thinking at an early age. The organisers noted that such initiatives are increasingly relevant as education systems seek to balance digital exposure with sustained reading practices.

Kounal Gupta, CEO of Henry Harvin Education, outlines how HHRPC aims to support ethical, end-to-end academic publishing worldwide

New Delhi, 12 January 2026: A new global research and publishing infrastructure has been introduced with the launch of the Henry Harvin Research and Publication Council platform, marking an expansion of Henry Harvin’s academic ecosystem. The new branch became operational on 1 January 2026 and is positioned to extend structured publishing and research support to scholars across disciplines and geographies.
The launch reflects a strategic move to strengthen academic publishing support at a time when researchers face increasing pressure to meet global standards of quality, ethics, and visibility. With the new platform live, the Henry Harvin Research and Publication Council aims to provide end to end assistance across the research lifecycle, from manuscript development to publication and dissemination.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Kounal Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Henry Harvin Education, said the objective is to transform credible research into global impact through ethical and accessible publishing systems. He noted that the platform has been designed as infrastructure for researchers who require sustained guidance rather than transactional journal access.
As part of its academic outreach, the Henry Harvin Research and Publication Council will host its inaugural Global Scholars’ Conclave in Mumbai on 24 January 2026. The conclave will bring together scholars, researchers, and thought leaders from multiple fields and will include a convocation ceremony and academic awards recognising contributions to research, publication, and innovation.

The Council operates within the broader academic framework of Henry Harvin Education, which has been active in global education and training since 2013. The organisation offers doctorate, degree, diploma, and certification programmes across a wide range of professional domains and maintains operations across India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.
Over time, Henry Harvin has developed a portfolio of more than 1,200 courses across over 37 categories, supported by a workforce of over 600 employees and more than 3,100 consultants. This institutional experience forms the operational backbone for the research and publication council’s academic standards and publishing practices.

The newly launched branch is expected to improve operational efficiency while enabling closer collaboration with researchers in fields such as management, science, technology, healthcare, and social sciences. The focus will remain on author centric services including manuscript evaluation, academic and language editing, plagiarism assessment, journal and book publication assistance, and research mentoring.
Affiliated with Dunster Business School in Switzerland, the Henry Harvin Research and Publication Council positions itself as a global publishing platform offering editorial review, design, distribution, royalty management, and author promotion across digital and print formats. Through this expansion, the Council aims to improve access to professional research guidance while reinforcing ethical publishing practices and scholarly integrity.

  • Four top ten ranks in CLAT 2026 put Delhi and Gurugram in the national spotlight

LegalEdge’s Delhi and Gurugram centres produce AIR 2, 7, 8, and 9 as law consolidates its position as a high stakes career choice

Delhi and Gurugram moved into the national spotlight following the declaration of CLAT 2026 results, with students from the region delivering one of the strongest city wise performances in the country. As competition intensifies and law continues to emerge as a first choice career for high achieving students, the results underline the growing role of the NCR belt in shaping India’s next generation of legal professionals.
According to officially declared results, students trained at LegalEdge centres in Delhi and Gurugram together secured four All India Ranks within the national top ten. Candidates from Delhi achieved AIR 2 and AIR 8, while students from Gurugram secured AIR 7 and AIR 9, placing the region among the most consistent performers in this year’s Common Law Admission Test.

The Gurugram centre also produced Haryana Topper 1 and Haryana Topper 2, corresponding to AIR 7 and AIR 9, highlighting the depth of preparation emerging from the region. In total, LegalEdge centres across Delhi and Gurugram accounted for 14 ranks within the top 100. With counselling currently underway, more than 300 selections into National Law Universities are expected from these two cities alone.
Among the top performers were Parv Jain, who secured AIR 2, and Argh Jain, who achieved AIR 8. The twin brothers, both mentored at the LegalEdge Delhi centre, followed a long term preparation route by enrolling in a structured two year classroom programme immediately after Class 10. Their approach reflects a growing trend among serious law aspirants who are choosing early academic planning and consistency over short preparation cycles.

Reflecting on their journey, the students pointed to disciplined classroom learning, regular mock analysis, and close mentor interaction as decisive factors in their performance. Their parents also highlighted the value of a process led academic roadmap, noting that structured preparation helped build confidence and emotional maturity alongside academic outcomes.
Commenting on the results, Vikaas Wahi, Director of LegalEdge Delhi and Gurugram, said that the focus of the centres has remained on the student journey rather than ranks alone. He noted that the academic environment combines structure, mentorship, emotional support, and consistency, allowing students to perform with confidence. According to him, a student to selection ratio of nearly four to one reflects a sustained, student first approach rather than a numbers driven mindset.

Other high ranking students from the region echoed similar sentiments. AIR 7 Gauransh Vats, Haryana Topper 1, credited focused one to one mentoring and mock strategy discussions for his steady progress throughout the preparation cycle. AIR 9 Manvi Yadav, Haryana Topper 2, highlighted the role of a supportive academic environment and regular guidance in maintaining exam readiness.
The regional performance mirrors broader national trends in legal education. Over 92,000 candidates registered for CLAT 2026, with nearly 75,000 appearing for the undergraduate examination, marking a 17 percent increase in participation over previous years. With limited seats available across National Law Universities, the data reflects law’s consolidation as a highly competitive and aspirational career choice.

At the national level, LegalEdge’s CLAT 2026 outcomes also showed consistent results across centres, including multiple ranks in the top ten, several state toppers, and more than 50 ranks within the top 100. The results reinforce the role of structured, classroom led preparation and long term mentoring in an increasingly high stakes entrance landscape.

  • Creative education in India takes a new turn as MAAC launches Career X and Creator X programs

Introduced alongside the 24FPS Creator Fest, the programs integrate industry practitioners, real world workflows, and specialised tracks across AVGC XR and the Creator Economy

December 24, 2025, the programs were introduced alongside the 24FPS Creator Fest and during MAAC’s 25th anniversary year, marking a significant moment in the institution’s evolution.
The new framework reflects a structured and layered approach to creative learning, designed to enhance employability while responding to the changing demands of the AVGC XR and digital content industries. Career X and Creator X are positioned as integrated academic pathways that combine foundational learning with specialised tracks and advanced career options, offering students clear outcomes aligned with industry expectations.

A defining feature of the initiative is MAAC’s collaboration with 13 industry knowledge partners across post production, gaming, animation studios, content platforms, and technology companies. These partnerships bring industry practitioners directly into the learning ecosystem, ensuring that instruction reflects real world workflows and current professional standards. Confirmed collaborators include Cimpress, the parent company of VistaPrint, PhysicsWallah, Godspeed Gaming, Pocket Films, phantomFX, Rocket Science Animation, Cedge Productions, Pixel and Ratio, Resonance Digital LLP, Nilee Games, Mugafi, and Zebu Animation Studios. Canon has also joined as a knowledge partner, contributing to the Creator X curriculum and learning experience.

The launch comes at a time when demand for skilled professionals across animation, visual effects, gaming, extended reality, and immersive media continues to rise. MAAC’s stated objective is to bridge the gap between academic instruction and industry readiness by embedding practical exposure, specialisation, and practitioner led learning within its academic structure.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sandip Weling, Whole time Director and Chief Business Officer, Global Retail at Aptech Limited, said the creative industry now requires talent that is technically sound, adaptable, and capable of contributing from the outset. He noted that Career X and Creator X have been designed to offer learners clear learning outcomes, deeper specialisation, and exposure to real production environments, while also nurturing originality and storytelling skills that are central to creative professions today.

The programs are structured to deliver hands on, industry relevant learning experiences across select career courses at MAAC. Students begin with their regular career focused course modules, building core skills during the initial phase of their academic journey. Once these fundamentals are in place, eligible and interested students can opt into the Creator X pathway.
Creator X has been positioned as an industry integrated, practitioner led program aimed at preparing the next generation of digital creators for the rapidly evolving Creator Economy. Developed in collaboration with technology partners, content platforms, filmmaker communities, and creator networks, the program equips learners with the skills and exposure needed to ideate, produce, publish, and monetise content across multiple formats.

The curriculum focuses on developing capabilities in short form video, digital comics, AI enabled workflows, and multi platform publishing. Alongside creative and technical skills, learners are also introduced to aspects of branding, monetisation models, intellectual property rights, and responsible content creation. The intent is to ensure that aspiring creators are not only production ready but also equipped to navigate the business and ethical dimensions of the digital ecosystem.
At its core, the new academic structure offers students two distinct learning outcomes. Through Career X, learners continue on a path oriented toward studio based and industry roles within the AVGC XR sector. Alternatively, students with entrepreneurial ambitions or aspirations to build independent creative careers can enrol in the Creator X program, which focuses on creator led pathways and content driven ventures.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Abir Aich, Executive Vice President, Content, Academics and Emerging Technologies at Aptech Limited, said that MAAC has consistently led shifts in creative education in India. He noted that Career X strengthens industry aligned talent for the AVGC XR sector, while Creator X serves as a launchpad for young creators seeking to succeed in the fast growing Creator Economy. Together, he said, the programs form a future ready ecosystem designed to prepare learners for the next decade of digital careers.

As MAAC marks its silver jubilee year, the introduction of Career X and Creator X represents a defining chapter in its institutional journey. The programs reinforce MAAC’s mission to expand opportunities for India’s creative talent base and support the country’s emergence as a global hub for animation, visual effects, gaming, and extended reality.

By emphasising structure, industry alignment, and innovation, MAAC reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing creative professionals who are not only job ready but prepared for long term careers across studios, digital platforms, independent ventures, and entrepreneurial pathways. With these initiatives, the academy continues to position creative education as a foundation for India’s growing role in the global media and entertainment landscape

  • CLAT 2026 Witnesses Historic Result as Geetali Gupta Tops Exam With All Time High Marks

The student from Sri Ganganagar scores 112.75 out of 120, the highest marks recorded since the Common Law Admission Test was introduced

India’s legal education landscape marked a historic milestone on 23 December 2025 as Geetali Gupta from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, secured All India Rank 1 in the Common Law Admission Test 2026. With a score of 112.75 out of 120, Geetali not only emerged as the national topper but also recorded the highest score ever achieved since the inception of the CLAT examination, translating to nearly 94 percent.
Her result carries added significance as she becomes the first girl in five years to top the highly competitive national law entrance examination. While female participation in CLAT has steadily increased over the years, securing the top rank has remained rare, particularly at the AIR 1 level. Geetali’s performance therefore represents a notable moment for gender representation within elite legal education in India.

CLAT is the gateway to India’s premier National Law Universities and is widely regarded as one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country. Each year, tens of thousands of aspirants compete for a limited number of seats, making a top rank statistically exceptional. Against this backdrop, Geetali Gupta’s score stands out not only for its numerical record but also for the consistency and discipline it reflects.
Geetali prepared for the examination as a classroom student of Toprankers LegalEdge, where she was enrolled in the Classroom Contact Program. Her preparation followed a structured, mentor led academic approach that relied entirely on classroom instruction rather than parallel coaching formats.

Reflecting on her journey, Geetali said that she was a bona fide Classroom Contact Program student of Toprankers LegalEdge and took pride in preparing exclusively through its classroom programme. She credited the guidance of her mentors Harsh Sir, Utkarsh Sir, Saurabh Sir, Suyukti Ma’am, and Sukanya Ma’am for shaping her entire preparation, and expressed gratitude to her parents, brother, and the wider LegalEdge team for their continued support.
Her parents highlighted the importance of a strong academic ecosystem, particularly for students preparing outside major metropolitan centres. Her mother, Bharti Gupta, said that Geetali prepared for CLAT entirely through the LegalEdge Classroom Contact Program and that the family credits the mentors and teachers at Toprankers LegalEdge for her outstanding success. Her father, Jagdeep Gupta, echoed this view, noting that the institute’s academic ecosystem and mentorship, especially under Harsh Sir, played a central role in Geetali’s preparation and outcome.

Commenting on the result, Harsh Gagrani, Co founder and Chief Academic Officer of Toprankers LegalEdge, said that the result validated the organisation’s academic process. He noted that for the institution, the success of the AIR 1 holder is as important as the progress made by every student who works to improve their rank, and that the focus would continue to remain on right guidance and consistent effort.
Education observers note that Geetali’s achievement reflects a broader shift underway in competitive exam preparation across India. Increasingly, students from tier two, tier three, and tier four cities are leveraging structured classroom programmes and mentorship driven models to compete with peers from larger cities. For many aspirants, access to disciplined preparation frameworks has emerged as a decisive factor in achieving top outcomes.

Geetali Gupta’s result also underscores the evolving aspirations of young women in competitive academic spaces. Her success is likely to inspire a new generation of law aspirants, particularly girls, to pursue top national ranks with confidence and ambition.
As CLAT 2026 concludes with a record breaking result, Geetali’s achievement stands as a defining moment in the exam’s history. Featured by Prittle Prattle News, virtuous journalism for a thoughtful world, her journey reflects how focused preparation, mentorship, and academic discipline can translate into outcomes that reshape long held patterns within competitive education in India
