  • Beats from the Assembly Line: Cellecor Factory Workers Rap for a Made in India Future

Written and performed by factory workers in Noida, the anthem captures pride, purpose, and the real voices behind India’s manufacturing growth.

In a rare crossover between factory life and music, Cellecor has launched a rap anthem created by its own factory workers not marketers, not influencers.
Titled “Banate Hain, Badhte Hain”, the track is produced, penned, and performed entirely by employees at Cellecor’s manufacturing facility in Noida. Far from a promotional jingle, the song reflects the spirit of India’s manufacturing shift and gives voice to the workers behind it.

The music video, now live on Cellecor’s social platforms, features workers rapping amid conveyor belts, component trays, and warehouse corridors their everyday environment. The lyrics focus on dignity in labour, the pride of making for India, and the shared ambition of building something bigger than a brand.
This was never meant to be an ad. It’s a creative release, a way to let our workers show the world what they stand for,” said Deepak Kabu, CEO of Cellecor.

As India positions itself as a global electronics hub, the campaign flips the usual narrative. Instead of advertising product features, it highlights the people the real engine behind Cellecor’s growing portfolio of smart TVs, mobile accessories, speakers, and wearables.
The anthem comes at a time when Cellecor is expanding both its retail footprint and direct-to-consumer strategy. But this release stands out by not selling anything except the idea that Make in India is more than a policy. It’s a movement powered by people.

With no professional singers or studio edits, the raw energy of the track has already resonated across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Viewers have called it “authentic”, goosebump-worthy, and a rare example of brand storytelling done right.
As more Indian manufacturers look to humanise their brands, Cellecor’s approach shows how the most powerful messages sometimes come from within.

  • India’s Fruit Loss Crisis Gets a Tech Fix: Tropical Agro and AgroFresh Launch Strella and Rubens

New AI-driven tools help reduce India’s ₹29,500 crore fruit waste problem, starting with apple and pear storage and quality tracking

Tropical Agrosystem (India) Ltd. has partnered with global post-harvest tech leader AgroFresh Solutions Inc. to bring two breakthrough innovations Strella and Rubens to India’s fruit value chain. These technologies are designed to cut post-harvest wastage and improve fruit quality tracking from farm to storage.
India loses more than 7.36 million tonnes of fruits annually, largely due to over-ripening, inconsistent maturity, and lack of scientific quality control in storage. Strella and Rubens aim to directly solve these challenges.
This is a breakthrough moment for Indian agriculture,” said Mr. V.K. Jhaver, Founder, Tropical Agro. With these tools, farmers and packhouses can reduce losses, improve returns, and deliver better quality to consumers.

What Do Strella and Rubens Do?

    • Strella is a CA storage monitor that tracks ethylene levels, O₂/CO₂ balance, temperature, and humidity in real-time. It alerts operators if fruit begins to ripen early or conditions shift out of range.
    • Rubens is a handheld scanner that uses light-based technology to assess fruit maturity on the tree checking sugar, firmness, and starch levels instantly, without cutting the fruit.

Both systems are integrated into AgroFresh’s FreshCloud™ platform, which gives farmers and logistics players full visibility across the value chain.

Apple and Pear Sectors First, More to Follow
Tropical Agro will first deploy these solutions for apple and pear growers, with plans to expand to other fruits and vegetables. The systems will be available on a subscription model, making them affordable to growers, packers, and traders.
Rubens and Strella are not just devices, they are decision-making tools, added K. Venkatasubramanian, GM – Post-Harvest Business, Tropical Agro. From orchard to cold storage, they bring accountability and precision.

    Backed by Proven Global Expertise
Tropical Agro has been a key player in India’s crop solutions space, impacting over 8 crore farmers, with 7 factories, 3 R&D hubs, and a presence across 20,000+ retailers. AgroFresh, a US-based leader, developed SmartFresh™, the world’s most widely adopted post-harvest solution for apples.
The combined rollout signals a new phase in India’s agri-value chain modernization, where data, traceability, and quality control are as important as yield.

  • Ayurveda’s Global Leap: World Ayurveda Day Gets Fixed Date, Focuses on Planetary and Personal Health

From ancient wisdom to international strategy, Ayurveda’s role in preventive and integrative healthcare gets a calendar milestone with September 23 now set as World Ayurveda Day annually.

The Ministry of Ayush has announced a significant milestone in the global recognition of Ayurveda by fixing September 23 as the official date for World Ayurveda Day. For the first time since its inception nearly a decade ago, the celebration will no longer shift with the lunar calendar, signaling a pivotal moment for institutional and global engagement with India’s ancient healing tradition.
This year’s theme, “Ayurveda for People and Planet,” reflects the discipline’s deep connection with sustainable living, preventive health, and ecological balance. Recognized by the World Health Organization as part of its Traditional Medicine Strategy, Ayurveda continues to shape public health systems in over 170 countries.

Ayurveda is not only an ancient Indian system of medicine, it is a timeless science of life,” said Dr. Tony Nader, neuroscientist and successor to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. From personalized nutrition and seasonal cleansing to mind body integration, Ayurveda offers practical solutions urgently needed in today’s world.
The announcement comes at a time of remarkable growth for the global Ayurveda sector. According to Fortune Business Insights, the market was valued at USD 6.7 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 21.1 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 13.3%. This expansion is driven by increasing global demand for integrative health systems and India’s diplomatic and scientific push via the Ministry of Ayush.

The roots of this resurgence can be traced back to the revival movement led by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the late 20th century. Collaborating with India’s leading Vaidyas, he emphasized authenticity, scientific validation, and accessibility. His contributions helped restore practices like Nadi Vigyan (pulse diagnosis) and Panchakarma to the global mainstream, while also aligning them with modern healthcare protocols.
Scientific studies have added credibility to these ancient techniques. Research on Panchakarma therapies has shown tangible detoxification benefits, while Transcendental Meditation, aligned with Ayurvedic philosophy, is now recommended by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology for managing hypertension.

As World Ayurveda Day finds its permanent place on the global calendar, India’s traditional knowledge system steps further into the future offering not just remedies, but a blueprint for balanced, holistic living in a fast-paced, modern world.

  • From Fixed-Speed to Intelligent Control: ELGi’s New System Powers Smarter Air Delivery

The DemandMatch System brings energy savings of up to 17% to Indian manufacturers by enabling smart compressor management without switching to variable-speed drives.

ELGi Equipments, one of India’s leading air compressor manufacturers, has introduced its new DemandMatch System, designed to significantly enhance energy efficiency in compressed air operations across Indian manufacturing.
The DemandMatch System represents a strategic innovation for facilities that rely on fixed-speed air compressors, enabling them to respond intelligently to fluctuating air demands. By dynamically switching compressors on or off based on real-time requirements, the system can achieve energy savings of up to 17% , without the need for expensive variable-speed drives (VFDs).

This is a game-changer for industries where compressed air is critical,” said Dr. Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director, ELGi Equipments. It allows manufacturers to optimize energy usage while continuing to rely on their existing fixed-speed compressor infrastructure. The result is a smarter, leaner compressed air setup that doesn’t compromise on performance.
The new system integrates with multiple compressors, continuously monitoring plant demand and orchestrating the compressor lineup to match load requirements. This reduces both energy consumption and mechanical wear, thereby contributing to a longer equipment lifecycle.

With this launch, ELGi aims to address one of the most persistent challenges in Indian manufacturing energy inefficiency in compressed air systems, which can account for a significant share of industrial power bills.
The DemandMatch System is now available to Indian customers across industry segments, with ELGi planning to extend availability to other global markets in future phases.

As manufacturing scales across India, innovations like ELGi’s DemandMatch System will play a critical role in reducing operational costs, lowering carbon footprints, and building sustainable industrial ecosystems.
