  • EnglishHelper to Support Punjab Government in Delivering English Proficiency Tools to Students in All Districts

With a focus on Grades 9 to 12, the program combines classroom instruction and AI-enabled tools to make English learning accessible across 3,600 government schools

A new chapter in language learning has begun in Punjab’s government schools. The Government of Punjab, in collaboration with EnglishHelper, has introduced a state-wide English language proficiency program designed to reach 750,000 students across 23 districts over a three-year rollout.
Titled The English Edge, the program focuses on Grades 9 to 12 and aims to bridge communication gaps by introducing a blended learning approach that integrates teacher-led instruction with digital learning tools. A total of 3,600 government schools will participate in the initiative, which is being introduced in three structured phases. The first phase, already underway, covers 500 schools and approximately 300,000 students.

The classroom component is anchored by ReadToMe, a curriculum-aligned reading support tool developed by EnglishHelper. Students will also engage in self-learning through a complementary tool known as the Reading and Comprehension Assistant, enabling them to listen, read, and follow content at their own pace a method that supports diverse learning styles and local classroom realities.
The program reflects the priorities of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which calls for stronger foundational literacy, digital access, and equitable education. It also aligns with the state’s broader goals of making students more competitive in national and international job markets where English proficiency plays a crucial role.

According to officials, this is one of Punjab’s most extensive public–private efforts in the education sector. While the Government of Punjab will coordinate rollout and monitoring, the funding for the program is being mobilised through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions and philanthropic support.
EnglishHelper first entered the Punjab education space in 2013 through a pilot program, later expanding under a partnership with USAID in 2015. A formal agreement between the Government and the company was signed in 2021, setting the foundation for this large-scale deployment. Data collected from earlier phases suggests measurable improvements in reading fluency, comprehension, and classroom engagement.

“This initiative focuses on all four core pillars of language acquisition reading, writing, listening, and speaking,” said Deepak Verma, CEO of EnglishHelper. “Through a blend of AI-enabled technology and classroom support, we’re helping students acquire skills that open doors not just to exams, but to meaningful futures.”
Educators in the participating schools will undergo specific training to integrate the tools into their daily lesson plans. The intent is not to replace teachers but to supplement existing practices with structured support that can scale efficiently across the state’s diverse regions.

The decision to concentrate on secondary and senior secondary grades stems from the growing importance of English proficiency in higher education and competitive examinations. Punjab’s school administrators note that demand for English-language skill-building has steadily increased, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns.
By the end of its third phase, The English Edge will cover more than 3,600 schools in every district of Punjab. The program is expected to significantly contribute to literacy goals while also supporting long-term social mobility and employment outcomes.
This effort reflects an evolving model of how public systems and private partners can jointly work toward measurable education reform one that focuses on consistent quality, digital inclusion, and student-centric implementation.
For more information on the initiative and progress updates, the official portal of EnglishHelper provides details on past deployments, learning tools, and program scale.

  • Mumbaikars Gather at 5 AM for Sugee Group’s Diwali Pahaat Featuring Padmashri Suresh Wadkar and Over 50 Artists

Over 50 performers joined in a soulful morning of music, devotion, and Maharashtra pride. From devotional classics to theatrical homages, Sugee Group’s Diwali Pahaat blended music, history and community at Ravindra Natya Mandir for an unforgettable festive morning

The city awakened in unison as thousands of residents gathered at dawn for Diwali Pahaat 2025, a cultural morning curated by Sugee Group. Held at the historic Ravindra Natya Mandir in Prabhadevi, the event began at 5:00 AM and unfolded into a heartfelt celebration of Maharashtra’s artistic spirit.
The occasion, which coincided with Narak Chaturdashi, marked the beginning of Diwali for many. True to its name, Pahaat meaning morning, this musical gathering opened with a serene sitar recital and a traditional swagat aarti, setting a calm and reverent tone.

The lineup included over fifty acclaimed artists from across Maharashtra and beyond, bringing together classical, folk, and contemporary forms in one of the state’s most culturally significant events. Among the highlights were spellbinding performances by Padmashri Suresh Wadkar, whose devotional compositions moved the early-morning audience to silence. Rahul Deshpande, known for his command over Natya Sangeet, performed classics like Shri Ranga Vittala and Dil Ki Tapish with stirring clarity.
Vaishali Samant, Sanjeevani Bhelande, Nandesh Umap, Sameer Date, Apurva Nisshad, and Ananya Wadkar contributed to a rich blend of voices that echoed through the venue. Renditions of timeless Marathi and devotional songs like Aali Majhya Ghari Diwali, Maharashtra Geet, and Vaishnav Jan To brought a sense of communal nostalgia to the celebration.

The event was not limited to music alone. A theatrical tribute to Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, woven into the program with poignant narration and performance, offered a moment of patriotic reflection. Another memorable segment celebrated the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, delivered through a dramatic ensemble led by Nandesh Umap and team, capturing the audience’s attention with historical pride.
Anchors for the morning included renowned Marathi personalities Sankarshan Karhade, Spruha Joshi, Samira Gujar, and Sanjay Mahale, whose presence added narrative grace, humour, and cultural context to each performance.

Behind this deeply rooted initiative is Mr. Nishant Deshmukh, Founder and Managing Partner at Sugee Group, who spoke about the community’s support with visible emotion. He remarked that the spirit of *Diwali Pahaat lies in its ability to unite people through shared culture, music, and early-morning devotion. For Mr. Deshmukh, the gathering is not just an event but a collective reflection of Mumbai’s identity.
Many attendees described the experience as a “divine start” to their Diwali. Families from across the city, spanning all age groups, arrived well before sunrise to take part. From quiet meditations during bhajans to spontaneous applause after each crescendo, the audience created an atmosphere of reverence mixed with celebration.

Sugee Group’s commitment to art, tradition, and public culture is longstanding. Over the years, the group has evolved from a real estate development company to a patron of community-focused festivals that honour Maharashtra’s heritage. With over 16 million sq. ft. of residential and commercial development, Sugee Group continues to be known not only for its urban presence but also for its support of regional identity.
As the morning came to a close, a collective aarti brought together artists and audience alike. The performers stood beside attendees in a quiet circle, symbolising the unbroken link between stage and society. It was not a show, but a shared celebration of spirit and song.
In a city known for its restless pace, Diwali Pahaat stood out for its quiet sincerity and grace. And as the sun rose above Prabhadevi, it did so on a note of deep cultural harmony.

  • Smart Entertainment Gets Simpler with Beem 550 Projector Featuring 6000 Lumens and Android TV

Designed with features like auto focus, dual-band Wi-Fi, and long lamp life, the Beem 550 projector fits into everyday spaces where convenience meets practical use

In an era where screens dominate both work and leisure, the idea of home projection is steadily gaining traction. The Beem 550 projector, recently introduced into the market, arrives as a practical response to that shift one that aims to deliver large-screen viewing without the need for complicated setup or added peripherals.
The model supports native 1080p resolution and comes with a peak brightness of 6000 lumens, making it viable for varied lighting conditions. What separates the Beem 550 from typical plug-in projectors is the inclusion of an auto focus mechanism and keystone correction, both of which operate without manual input. This allows users to adjust the projection space quickly, even when the device is moved from one setting to another.

At the centre of its operating system is Android TV, an open-source platform that has become a common interface for modern televisions and smart boxes. This integration means that the Beem 550 can run popular apps like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar natively. For users, this reduces dependence on external dongles or casting devices, and it also simplifies content access through a single remote interface.
The device also includes a five-watt downward-facing speaker. While it does not compete with a dedicated soundbar, it meets the needs of personal use in mid-sized spaces. Those seeking external audio can still connect through AUX or Bluetooth 5.0.

Connectivity remains a focus in the overall design. With dual-band Wi-Fi, the projector allows for smoother streaming over 5GHz networks while maintaining backward compatibility with 2.4GHz systems. Additional ports for HDMI and USB ensure compatibility with gaming consoles, laptops, and storage devices. These inclusions reflect the intent behind the model — to serve as an all-in-one entertainment unit that can switch easily between personal and shared use.
One of the more noticeable design elements is the inclusion of a built-in monopod stand. Instead of relying on external tripods or books for height, the base unfolds to offer tilt control and vertical lift. This can help avoid ceiling keystoning and allows for quicker setup on uneven surfaces. It also aligns with the increasing need for mobility, especially in compact urban homes or hybrid workspaces.

With a rated lamp life of up to 40,000 hours, the Beem 550 leans into durability. The light source, based on LED technology, supports energy efficiency while delivering a contrast ratio of 2000:1. While this may not meet the standards of high-end home theatre units, it fits well into the everyday projection category where use cases range from casual streaming to small-group presentations.
The form factor is modest, with foldable elements that make the unit easier to store or transport. It weighs light enough to carry but holds firm footing on most surfaces. The body design refrains from glossy finishes, opting instead for a matte shell that resists smudging during movement.
Priced under ten thousand rupees at launch, the projector joins a growing segment of compact, all-in-one projection devices now available in India. It reflects a broader trend where technology is shrinking in size but expanding in purpose often blending multiple roles into a single, mobile unit.

For users who previously hesitated to invest in projection due to complexity or cost, the Beem 550 attempts to resolve both. It is not positioned as a high-performance media system. Rather, it functions as a basic, consistent tool that does what it claims: project a clean image, run standard applications, and adapt to changing environments without much effort.
The product is available through the official Portronics website along with major platforms such as Amazon India, Flipkart, and other regional stores.
In a market where smart devices are becoming increasingly fragmented, the Beem 550 holds its ground by focusing on stability over style, and usability over up-selling. It does not seek to impress. It simply works.

  • In a World That Glorifies Hustle, M S Dhoni with Arth by Emcure Asks India to Sleep

As sleep loss rises across India, Arth by Emcure and M S Dhoni bring attention to everyday rest through the So Jao campaign, encouraging people to return to sleep as a simple act of care

In a country where long hours are often mistaken for commitment, the So Jao campaign offers a gentle but necessary pause. Led by Arth by Emcure with M S Dhoni at the centre, the message does not sell ambition. It brings the focus back to rest.
The film, created with minimal interference, shows M S Dhoni in a space that feels lived in. There is no narration. No background volume. Only a reminder that the body is not built for endless motion. This is not an advertisement. It is a still moment. One that asks a quiet question. When was the last time you slept without a screen, a scroll or a schedule?

Arth by Emcure is a wellness brand that focuses on daily balance. Its new offering is a sleep support gummy made with melatonin, chamomile, L theanine and passionfruit extract. Each unit is vegetarian, lab-tested in the United States and contains five milligrams of melatonin per serving. It is not positioned as a shortcut. The brand is careful not to promise transformation. What it promises instead is a better way to begin winding down.
The product release comes at a time when India is facing a growing sleep deficit. According to findings in the International Journal of Psychology, the average adult in urban areas now sleeps for less than seven hours. This decline has already been linked to reduced memory, slower reaction time and increased stress levels.

Namita Thapar, Executive Director at Emcure Pharmaceuticals, explained that the campaign is not just about awareness. It is about returning to habits that are not new but forgotten. She pointed out that wellness cannot be sustained on nutrition and exercise alone. Without regular and uninterrupted sleep, the body cannot repair. The mind cannot reset. The routine cannot hold.
M S Dhoni, known for his restraint on the field and his deliberate choices off it, was selected not for celebrity but for presence. His face has long been associated with calm under pressure. That same energy now leads the So Jao campaign, not with words but with stillness.

The campaign was conceptualised by Daftar Creative Room, a studio known for its minimal approach. There are no visual metaphors for fatigue. No overworked actors. No exaggerated claims. The script relies on silence. The camera stays steady. The light does not change.
This decision is deliberate. The team behind So Jao believes that wellness marketing has become loud and chaotic. They wanted to do the opposite. Here, there is no product push. Only a question asked in the softest voice possible. Would you consider sleeping earlier, not because you are tired, but because you deserve rest?

The idea is not radical. It is simply overlooked. Most campaigns chase movement. So Jao chooses stillness. It reminds viewers that rest is not the reward. It is the beginning. And it must be treated with the same care as any other aspect of daily well-being.
The M S Dhoni So Jao campaign does not follow the usual path. There are no morning routines. No performance checklists. No app integrations. Instead, it leaves the audience with a message that feels out of place in a world of urgency. Let go. Sleep. Begin again.
And sometimes, the most powerful campaign is the one that lets the viewer pause, without asking for anything in return.

  • Menswear Meets Mythology in Surbhi Pansari’s Algiz Autumn-Winter 2025 Collection

With structured jackets, rich velvets, and symbolic embroidery, the line offers a new take on wedding dressing for men

Menswear designer Surbhi Pansari has introduced her Autumn-Winter 2025 collection Algiz – The Divine Protection, a seasonal line that draws on medieval imagery, runic symbols, and Gothic forms to shape formalwear for winter ceremonies. Built on the foundation of structure, fabric, and symbolic intent, the collection offers new direction in occasion dressing for men.
Named after the Algiz rune, a symbol representing protection and energy, the collection builds a quiet visual vocabulary that connects European architectural detail with Indian formal aesthetics. Rather than imposing theme onto garment, the design process reveals itself in small elements pleated jackets, structured kurtas, and embroidery that sits within the form rather than above it.

Each piece carries references from medieval Europe, whether through pointed construction, ribbed contours, or elongated layering. The design language is shaped by proportion and surface, keeping the focus on geometry and form. This is menswear informed by history, but constructed with purpose and restraint.
The garments use velvets, silks, cotton blends, and linen, combining warmth with movement. While intended for winter, the collection is responsive to multiple climates and formats. Pieces can be worn through wedding season, formal receptions, or cultural events that call for refined dressing without visual weight.

Symbolic work appears across jackets and kurtas. The Viking Vegvisir, Runes, and architectural motifs like the quatrefoil are introduced through threadwork and hand-finished embellishments. Specific elements such as the Wings of Eternity, Birds of Paradise, and botanical references emerge in embroidery across collars, shoulders, and sleeve edges. Techniques include Zardozi, bead placement, sequin work, and mixed embroidery finishes. Surfaces are active but not theatrical, designed to hold their presence in light or motion without excess.
Colours are drawn from night and stone. Midnight Blue, Egyptian Blue, and Black provide the structural base. Dusky Pink appears in select pieces, while a muted gold referred to as Sanctum Gold in the designer’s notes acts as an occasional highlight. The palette avoids high contrast, focusing instead on depth and reflection.

Speaking about the intent behind the collection, Surbhi Pansari notes, “With Algiz, I wanted to show that faith and design can exist together without becoming costume. The collection respects personal history and believes in precision. Nothing is decorative unless it holds meaning.” This approach defines the entire offering, where garments function beyond aesthetic.
Outfits include bandhgalas, jackets, layered kurtas, and minimal tuxedos, designed to be worn across multiple events. Styling remains understated. Each garment can be worn with or without accessories. Emphasis is placed on form, movement, and surface, not layering or theatrical additions.

While the line looks to the past for visual anchors, it remains firmly placed in current menswear needs. The pieces respond to the reality of the winter wedding season, where the wearer requires structure, visual rhythm, and comfort in equal measure.
Surbhi Pansari’s Algiz Autumn-Winter 2025 line is now available through appointment at the designer’s Mumbai studio and through selected retail spaces. Custom fittings and made-for-order services are available for wedding stylists and individuals preparing for the upcoming season.
This is not menswear driven by seasonal themes or fashion cycles. It is design built on intention, shaped by historical forms, and delivered with control. The focus remains steady: strong material, refined construction, and garments that carry meaning without asking for attention.

  • Emergency Care in Raipur Gets a Timely Upgrade as CRITICON 2025 Begins with Power of 3 Launch

The two-day conference brings together India’s top clinicians, with the ‘Power of 3’ initiative unveiled to transform patient response times

The city of Raipur marked a defining moment in its healthcare journey with the inauguration of CRITICON Raipur 2025, a national-level critical care conference hosted by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) – Raipur Chapter in collaboration with Ramkrishna CARE Hospital. Over two days, the event brings together medical leaders, government dignitaries, and expert faculty to exchange insights and build stronger systems for emergency and intensive care delivery.
The conference opened in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Hon’ble Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh. Both leaders acknowledged the medical community’s consistent efforts in pushing boundaries and delivering quality care. Their presence underscored the importance of collaborative forums like CRITICON, where clinical practice meets public policy, and where Raipur positions itself as a growing medical hub in Central India.

The gathering includes intensivists, anesthesiologists, physicians, emergency care professionals, and hospital administrators from across India. Through a series of workshops and expert sessions, CRITICON Raipur 2025 aims to strengthen clinical knowledge and build responsive healthcare systems for managing critically ill patients. From ECMO to neurocritical care and the latest in sepsis protocols, the sessions reflect a shared commitment to elevating the quality of care in intensive settings.
A major highlight of the inaugural session was the launch of the ‘Power of 3’ initiative by Ramkrishna CARE Hospital. Announced by Mr. Varun Khanna, Group Managing Director of Quality CARE India Limited (QCIL), the model introduces a structured, measurable emergency care framework in Raipur. Under this initiative, all emergency calls will be answered within three rings, ambulances will arrive within 30 minutes, and an emergency room doctor will attend to patients within three minutes of arrival. The goal is to reduce lag, save critical minutes, and create a new performance benchmark for emergency medical response in the city.

In his address, Mr. Khanna emphasized the need for faster, smarter, and more accountable healthcare infrastructure. Describing CRITICON Raipur 2025 as a powerful platform, he highlighted the intersection of clinical excellence, operational readiness, and people-first design in critical care. His remarks placed Raipur on the national map for emergency innovation, supported by data-driven processes and real-time accountability.
Dr. Sandeep Dave, Managing Director of Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals, reiterated the institution’s long-term commitment to timely and accessible healthcare. He spoke of the hospital’s continued evolution over two decades and its responsibility to lead with innovation and compassion. According to Dr. Dave, the ‘Power of 3’ is not simply a campaign but a promise of preparedness in moments where every second counts.

The event also welcomed international faculty including Dr. Marcus, a renowned voice in critical care, who shared evolving global trends and outcomes-based approaches to intensive medicine. Eminent national faculty such as Dr. Yash Javeri, Dr. Rajan Kumar, and Dr. Sonal Asthana led dynamic discussions on ventilation protocols, hemodynamic monitoring, and the ethics of intensive care. The keynote address by Dr. Suresh Advani offered a rare clinical perspective that bridged oncology and critical care, setting the tone for high-level multidisciplinary discourse.
CRITICON Raipur 2025 stands as a milestone not only for knowledge sharing but for policy alignment and future-readiness in emergency systems. The sessions promote cross-specialty learning, while the presence of senior government representatives further strengthens the relevance of public-private collaboration in health delivery.
The inaugural day closed with strong participation from across India, reflecting Raipur’s emerging reputation in clinical research, medical education, and hospital innovation. As the conference progresses, focus areas include trauma care readiness, advancements in ICU design, and case-based simulations turning abstract concepts into actionable protocols for hospitals in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

The initiative reinforces Ramkrishna CARE Hospital’s broader vision as part of the CARE Hospitals Group under Quality Care India Ltd. (QCIL), a network backed by global investors and rooted in building next-generation hospitals. With a presence that includes leading facilities like Evercare Bangladesh and KIMSHEALTH Kerala, the group continues to invest in infrastructure, clinical talent, and real-time medical technology to strengthen its footprint in India and the region.
Founded in 1992, Ramkrishna CARE Hospital is NABH-accredited and offers specialised services across more than 30 medical disciplines. It has consistently expanded access to advanced care, including robotic-assisted surgeries, immunotherapy, and bone marrow transplants. Its 24/7 emergency department recognised by AHPI in 2025 demonstrates a commitment to medical reliability when it matters most.
As CRITICON Raipur 2025 continues, the convergence of experience, intent, and systems thinking becomes the focal point of discussion. The ‘Power of 3’ framework, launched on this platform, will be observed not just as a local upgrade but as a possible blueprint for urban emergency care across India.

The brand’s continued global expansion has been supported by product lines like HEATTECH, which offer minimalist design and engineering-led performance at scale. As climate conditions grow more volatile and consumer preferences lean toward thoughtful layering, HEATTECH remains a consistent wardrobe base—evolving quietly with each new season.
Blanchett and Federer remain central to that narrative, not as stylistic add-ons, but as individuals whose lived experiences and public work reflect the values UNIQLO continues to centre. Whether through stage, sport, or social advocacy, their involvement gives the HEATTECH collection a layer of credibility that resonates across markets.
The campaign, rooted in global familiarity and material innovation, carries forward the UNIQLO LifeWear philosophy without disruption. The result is a winterwear line that is neither trend-driven nor overly technical but practical, considered, and quietly luxurious.

  • From Anxiety to Awareness: AiR and Nyra Banerjee Dive into Mind Mastery in Soulful Dialogue

Exploring the battle between thought and mindfulness, AiR shares the 14 monsters of the mind while Nyra Banerjee reflects on emotional chaos, seeking serenity in conversation and consciousness.

In a deeply introspective episode of A Journey Within, spiritual teacher and Happpiness Ambassador AiR – Atman in Ravi sat down with actress Nyra Banerjee for a heartfelt exchange that ventured beyond everyday thought and into the core of human suffering and peace. Together, they examined the turbulent nature of the “Monkey Mind” and its transformation into the serene “Monk Mind” an inner shift that AiR believes holds the key to lasting peace, love, and what he spells as “happpiness,” with three Ps to signify pleasure, peace, and purpose.
The episode opened with AiR presenting his concept of the 14 monsters of the mind powerful forces that anchor individuals in cycles of negativity, desire, and turmoil. He described how these inner enemies derail us from the present, making us chase illusions rather than experiencing life as it truly is.

The sufferings in life that we endure are not because life is unfair to us,” AiR shared during the episode. “It is the mind that traps us in a vicious circle of fears, regrets, and desires. Our ability to silence this chaos of the mind can help us discover true happpiness. With gratitude and a sense of contentment, it is possible to achieve a state of peace and bliss. Further, if we discover the purpose of life, we can be in a state of eternal peace, love, and bliss.

Nyra Banerjee, known for her vibrant presence in the entertainment world, shared her candid reflections on emotional turmoil and personal restlessness. Her conversation with AiR brought out her vulnerability as well as her curiosity for a deeper understanding of emotional wellbeing. “Talking with AiR is such a calming and healing experience,” she said. His stories and straightforward metaphors really help me see how being aware and finding contentment can turn that emotional chaos into a sense of peace.
The dialogue between AiR and Nyra did not merely dwell in spiritual philosophy. It served as a practical blueprint for viewers to begin their journey toward self-awareness. AiR advocated for a shift from mental chatter to consciousness, encouraging people to observe their thoughts without becoming them. He offered mindfulness as the bridge that takes us from suffering to awakening.

The episode concluded on a note of hopeful reflection, inviting viewers to pause and look within. AiR’s core message happpiness begins within resonated clearly throughout the conversation. His emphasis on discovering the purpose of life and shedding the illusions created by the mind offers an accessible path to mental clarity and spiritual peace.

CRITICON 2025, India’s flagship conference on critical care, will bring together leading national and global minds in emergency medicine to advance lifesaving science and foster clinical excellence. Organized by Ramkrishna CARE Hospital, Raipur, in association with the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), Quality Care India Ltd, and IMA Raipur, the two-day conclave is set to convene over 1,000 delegates from across India at Mayfair Lake Resort, Raipur.

Themed “Where Critical Care Meets Clinical Excellence,” CRITICON 2025 will feature keynote sessions, intensive care workshops, and interactive panels with intensivists, anesthesiologists, trauma specialists, and healthcare leaders. Delegates from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, and beyond will engage in immersive scientific programs that balance research, application, and innovation.

Day 2 will offer skill-focused workshops on mechanical ventilation and ultrasound-guided interventions, alongside sessions on neurocritical care, trauma response, and AI-powered tele-ICU models. Attending physicians will also earn CGMC-approved credit points.

CRITICON 2025 addresses vital issues shaping India’s critical care landscape, including brain death protocols, cost-effective ICU management, antifungal resistance, and heart failure in chronic kidney disease patients.
