UK NHS Rotations Form Core Part of St George’s University MD Pathway
India: St George’s University School of Medicine has outlined the structure of its United Kingdom clinical rotation pathway, which forms a central component of its Doctor of Medicine programme for students seeking international training exposure.
Training within the NHS places students in structured hospital environments where multidisciplinary care, protocol driven practice and population based health systems are integral to delivery. Exposure to a different regulatory and clinical context allows students to adapt to varied systems of care.
Students participating in NHS rotations manage diverse case loads in high volume clinical settings. The experience is intended to support clinical decision making and readiness for postgraduate medical training.
The university states that working within the NHS also provides exposure to diverse patient populations, strengthening communication skills and cultural awareness. Interaction with different diagnostic pathways and care models supports the development of clinical reasoning.

NIMS University hosts international allied healthcare conference iNCAHP 2026 in Jaipur
Over 1,260 participants, 20 global speakers, and more than 165 research presentations highlight the growing role of allied health professionals in future healthcare delivery
NIMS University Rajasthan marked a significant moment in healthcare education with the successful hosting of the International Conference of Allied and Healthcare Professionals iNCAHP 2026. The two day conference was organised by the NIMS College of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and brought together experts, clinicians, academicians, and students from India and abroad.
Held under the theme Emerging Health Professionals for a Healthy Future, the conference focused on the expanding role of allied healthcare professionals in strengthening healthcare systems and improving patient outcomes. The sessions explored how clinical practice, education, and research can work together to build a more resilient and responsive healthcare ecosystem.The conference featured more than 20 keynote speakers, including international guest Dr Seri Brits from the United States, who shared global perspectives on allied healthcare practices. Indian experts including Dr K Pearlson, Dr Sanjay Parmar, Dr Vivek Vajratkar, and Dr Suraj Kumar contributed academic and clinical insights across multiple sessions. The presence of Dr Sajeevan T. and Dr Jaspreet Singh Vij further added to the academic depth of the event.
Participation at iNCAHP 2026 reflected its national and international reach. A total of 1,260 participants registered from 18 Indian states and three Union Territories. The academic programme included more than 165 research paper presentations, along with over 100 scientific posters and more than 10 working models, providing a structured platform for the exchange of ideas and emerging research in allied healthcare.In addition to plenary sessions and paper presentations, the conference offered specialised pre and post conference workshops. Participants received hands on exposure to techniques such as Sensory Integration, Spinal Manipulation, Dry Needling, and Chiropractic treatments, allowing them to link theory with practical application.
The event also included cultural programmes presented by NIMS University students, featuring classical and folk dance performances, a themed fashion show, and a live professional band. These segments complemented the academic sessions and reflected the institution’s emphasis on holistic development.Organisers noted that iNCAHP 2026 has opened new opportunities for international collaboration in education and research. By creating dialogue between academic learning and clinical practice, the conference was positioned as a meaningful step forward for the allied healthcare profession in India and globally.

Sanawar Alumni Host a National Forum on Leadership and Institution Building
The Sanawar Success Summit 2026 in New Delhi brings policymakers, business leaders, diplomats, defence veterans, and educators onto one platform
The Sanawar Success Summit 2026 convened a wide cross section of India’s leadership at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, for a day of discussions focused on leadership, education, governance, and institution building. The summit was organised by The Old Sanawarian Society, the alumni association of The Lawrence School, Sanawar, and was sponsored by DKG Landcorp, Mohali, under the leadership of its Directors Mohit Gupta and Lakshay Gupta.
The proceedings opened with a traditional Chhota Hazari, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by members of the Board of Governors of the Sanawar Society. The formal programme began with a welcome address by Pankaj Sapru, Immediate Past President of The Old Sanawarian Society. This was followed by the keynote address delivered by Vipin Sondhi, Former Managing Director and CEO of Ashok Leyland and former Chairman of JCB India and TAFE.The Chief Guest, Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, and Chairman of the Board of Governors, addressed the gathering and spoke about the role of institutions in shaping leadership, continuity, and public service across generations.
The summit was anchored by Gaurav Bhagat, Founder and Managing Director of Consortium Gifts, who also participated as a distinguished alumnus of Sanawar. His role as emcee helped set the tone for a day of structured dialogue and reflection across sectors.The opening panel featured speakers from diverse professional backgrounds, including Vandana Mohan, Founder and Director of The Wedding Design Company; Armeet Sandhu, Managing Partner at MSB Docs and former CEO of Stoneware Systems Inc.; Ajeet Bajaj, Padma Shri awardee, mountaineer, and Managing Director of Snow Leopard Adventures; agripreneur Jang Bahadur Singh Sangha, known for leading one of India’s largest potato and maize farming enterprises; and Dushyant Chautala, Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana from 2019 to 2024.
Subsequent sessions through the day featured speakers from defence, diplomacy, policy, business, academia, healthcare, technology, sustainability, and the arts. These included Lt Gen Ajai Singh, Former Commander in Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command; Yashish Dahiya, Founder and Group CEO of Policybazaar; National Film Award winning costume designer Niharika Bhasin; Dr Tarun Batra, Cancer Surgeon and Associate Professor at Banaras Hindu University; Rajeev Ahal, Director of Natural Resource Management and Agroecology at GIZ India; diplomat Taranjit Sandhu, Former Ambassador of India to the United States and High Commissioner to Sri Lanka; Shaila Brijnath, Founder and Chairperson of Aasraa Trust; Arun Maira, Former Member of the Planning Commission of India; Akshay Dalal, Head of Regional Risk, Compliance and Ethics at Google for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa; Gaurav Raina, Professor at IIT Madras and Research Fellow at Cambridge University; Ruby Garg, Director at Indus Group; Surbhi Garg, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax; Vivek Mehra, Senior Partner at PwC (Retired) and Director on multiple corporate boards; and Dr Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson and Managing Director of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group.
The summit concluded with a closing address by Brigadier Adarsh Butail, President of The Old Sanawarian Society, bringing the day to a close and reaffirming Sanawar’s long standing commitment to leadership and institution building.

India, 5 February 2026: DPU School of Allied Health Sciences at D.Y. Patil University and Adiuvaret Research & Education Foundation have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening healthcare skill development, interdisciplinary public health research and community health outreach.
The partnership brings together DPU’s academic capacity in allied health sciences with AREF’s experience in healthcare management learning, curriculum development and education support systems. The two organisations said the collaboration will focus on structured skill development in public health and biomedical research, interdisciplinary learning modules linked to community health, and applied models designed to meet the needs of students, educators and communities.Dr Abhay Saraf, Director, DPU School of Allied Health Sciences, said the partnership is intended to connect classroom learning more closely with real-world healthcare requirements. He said the collaboration will work on skill-building systems, research activity with practical relevance and community outreach programmes that allow students to engage beyond campus settings.
Dr Biranchi Jena, Director, Adiuvaret Research & Education Foundation, said working with DPU creates an opportunity to combine applied health education experience with academic training. He said the partnership will focus on co-creating programmes, resources and learning pathways that improve student readiness and support long-term community outcomes.The collaboration will also explore joint programmes, research initiatives, field training, community engagement activities and development of educational tools and materials. From Classrooms to Credentials, a Technology Training Milestone Emerges via Samsung Innovation Campus
SP Chun, Corporate Vice President at Samsung Southwest Asia, and Karnataka Labour Minister Santosh S. Lad said 2,000 students in Bengaluru completed certification in Artificial Intelligence and Coding through the programme.
Hyderabad, February 5, 2026: A large scale technology training effort has resulted in 2,000 students in Bengaluru completing formal certification in Artificial Intelligence and Coding and Programming under Samsung Innovation Campus, a skills development programme focused on industry aligned learning.
The certification ceremony was held at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, and brought together representatives from government, academia, and industry. Those present included Basavaraj Horatti, Chairperson of the Karnataka Legislative Council, Santosh S. Lad, Minister for Labour and Employment, Byrathi Suresh, Minister of Urban Development and Town Planning, Saroj Apato, Vice President Strategic Partner at ESSCI, Dr S. V. Suresha, Vice Chancellor of the University of Agricultural Sciences, and SP Chun, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia.Under the Bengaluru cohort, 1,100 students completed certification in Artificial Intelligence, while 900 students were certified in Coding and Programming. The curriculum combined hands on technical instruction with soft skills inputs aimed at improving workplace readiness and employability.
Samsung Innovation Campus is operational across 10 states in India and is implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India through accredited training partners. The programme is designed to provide practical exposure to emerging technologies while aligning learning outcomes with evolving industry requirements.Speaking at the event, SP Chun said the programme focuses on preparing students for real world challenges by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. He said the Bengaluru certifications reflect Samsung’s continued investment in building job ready technology talent aligned with India’s digital economy.
Santosh S. Lad said Karnataka’s growth as a technology and innovation hub depends on strong collaboration between industry and educational institutions. He said initiatives that align training with market needs play an important role in strengthening the state’s human capital base.Launched in India in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus prioritises access to future technology education, particularly in underserved and semi urban regions. Nationally, the programme has recorded 45 percent participation by women. In addition to technical training, participants receive inputs on communication, teamwork, and professional readiness.

Women’s access to aspirational jobs becomes central focus of a new skilling push involving MSDE
MSDE Secretary Debashree Mukherjee says the initiative is designed to connect women’s skills with employability and inclusive economic growth
Mumbai, 4 February 2026: Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has entered into a formal collaboration with IPE Global Limited to strengthen a gender responsive and future ready skilling approach aimed at improving employment outcomes for young women across India.
The partnership was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and focuses on reshaping programme design, increasing women’s participation in aspirational job roles, and building stronger linkages between skilling initiatives, employability pathways, and inclusive economic growth.Speaking on the occasion, Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary at the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said women’s skilling is central to India’s workforce transformation and inclusive growth agenda. She said the collaboration reflects a commitment to creating an enabling ecosystem where young women, particularly from underserved regions, can access dignified employment opportunities supported by relevant skills and institutional backing.
The collaboration will focus on evidence based and gender responsive interventions aimed at improving women’s participation and outcomes within skill development programmes. Priority areas include addressing structural barriers to entry, aligning training curricula with industry demand, and strengthening placement and transition pathways through deeper private sector engagement.As part of the initiative, the partners will also roll out a multilingual national awareness campaign to encourage women’s participation in skilling and formal employment. Employer engagement will be enhanced through gender inclusive hiring commitments, while monitoring and evaluation systems will be strengthened to support data driven governance and outcome tracking.
The initiative will additionally reinforce MSDE’s targeted skilling efforts for adolescent girls, with the objective of building early exposure to employability oriented skills and creating more inclusive, future ready skilling models.According to MSDE, the collaboration is intended to move women’s skilling beyond enrolment metrics toward measurable employment outcomes, ensuring that skill development translates into sustained workforce participation and economic agency for women.
